Dallas Opera's Patron Party Kicks Off The 2019 Season

Our favorite time of the year! The heat is gone, Halloween is approaching, and...the Dallas Opera season is about to begin! Before it does, the Dallas Opera hosts a yearly event to celebrate all of their patrons that support the arts and allow them to sell tickets as low as $15 for students and ~$30 for young professionals. Without their generous support, there would be no opera!

As always, The Dallas Opera Patron Party was a fabulous affair! Hosted at the gorgeous home of Lisa and David Genecov, announcements included the news of a partnership with the Dallas Zoo and the presence of 2 and 4-legged animals at the First Night gala on October 18th. My personal wish is a tiger or bear, but I have yet to see a live grizzly and opera mix. This year's party was catered by the Spice of Life, and vodka distillery Wayward Son.

The incredible performance of the night was by singer Diana Newman, who sings the role of the First Lady in the Dallas Opera's upcoming production of THE MAGIC FLUTE (opening Friday, October 18th). Diana was accompanied by Christopher Devlin of TDO’s Music Staff on the piano. You can head over to my Instagram @czarina_ekaterina and view a part of their performance in my Stories.

Remember, the Dallas Opera season opens October 18th with Mozart's THE MAGIC FLUTE! Get your tickets now! If you're not yet convinced, did you know opera can make you smarter?
