Fashion X (creator and producer of Austin Fashion Week, Fashion X Dallas, and Fashion X Houston) will return for its 5th annual runway show October 13th at Sixty Five Hundred, unveiling a new international experience labeled Fashion X DFW :: South Asia (Fashion “by” DFW & South Asia).

Inspired by his recent travels to Lahore, Pakistan, Fashion X Founder Matt Swinney seeks a marriage of both culture and fashion, as influential designers from South Asia travel to Dallas for a black tie affair on a global scale. Exploring the depth of style from Pakistan and India, Fashion X DFW will also feature an exclusive selection of some of Texas’ most prominent designers.

“Dallas is such a unique and multi-cultural city,” Swinney said. “We felt that bringing an authentic international fashion event was a logical choice. Dallas is so supportive of the fashion industry and we knew the market would be completely open to a new type of runway show. After visiting Pakistan and becoming incredibly inspired by South Asian culture, I know the Fashion X audience will be blown away by the intricate details of the garments, jaw-dropping textiles, and stellar craftsmanship of the South Asian fashion designers.”

Following a packed out Fashion X Noir show for 2017, the re-imagined spectacular will now feature a multi-layered fashion show for 2018 showcasing the designs of South Asian wonders including couturier Varun Bahl, Austin-based Bridal Motif, Maryam Khizer, Rana Noman, the artistic Erum Khan, and Dallas-based Silk Threads by Ruby Bhandari. Other designers will also include Miles David, newcomer Valerie Garmino, Fashion X veteran Abi Ferrin, Shusi, House of Cynthia, and more.
