Fashion X celebrates its 4th year in Dallas with “Noir”, September 30th, 2017, at Sixty-Five Hundred (6500 Cedar Springs Rd., Dallas, TX. 75235), at 7:30 p.m. It’s a one night only packed with action event presenting 15 runway designers in an epic gallery featuring the best emerging jewelry and accessories designers in pop-up shops benefitting Every Girl Deserves Foundation and Fashion Group International of Dallas. Avantgarde pieces from Project Runway Stars Korto Momolu and Amanda Valentine as well as Dallas Fashion Power House Abi Ferrin will grace the runway. This year’s Fashion X Dallas host committee includes a stellar lineup of Fashion Professionals, Influencers, and Philanthropists. This Fashion Spectacle will be hosted by Jackson, Ken Weber, Brittanie Buchanan Oleniczak, Gary Walden, Bridget Sommerlatte, Steve Kemble, Kimberly Alexander, Rhonda S. Every Girl Deserves Foundation supports selected designers whose talents have earned an invitation to showcase at major events, such as New York Fashion Week and Fashion X including materials, travel, entry fees, and more. EGD grants will help chosen designers receive the exposure they deserve! Further, the charity raises awareness and funding for non-profit organizations fighting for the freedom of women around the globe.
The Fashion Group Foundation has awarded over 1.6 million dollars in scholarships to talented and deserving fashion design and merchandising students from over 36 schools in the US through its annual scholarship competition program in the past 48 years. The mission of the Foundation is to promote educational programs devoted to fashion and to the study of fashion related businesses through the creation and awarding of scholarships; establishment of internship programs; to stimulate and encourage membership and industry participation in such public service activities.
Fashion X Dallas was established in 2014 by Fashion X, the founders of Austin Fashion Week / Fashion X Austin and Fashion X Houston. In 2017, it's bringing a different concept from years past. For one night only, celebrate NOIR, a feast for the fashion senses. Attendees, clad in all black, will view new apparel collections from more than 15 of the best emerging & established designers in DFW and beyond from raised runway through a unique presentation model. All while benefitting Every Girl Deserves and Fashion Group International - Scholarship Fund. One talented DFW based designer will also receive the 2017 BERNINA Dallas Fashion Fund to help spur their career with tools necessary for the trade. The 2014 winner was Nine Muses; the 2015 winner was Smith II; the 2016 winner was Lela Orr.
